Ms. Palmer was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, but moved to Los Angeles at a young age. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1992, with a B.A. in Spanish Literature, after spending one year studying in Madrid, Spain at the Complutense University. Ms. Palmer then attended USC Law School, where she graduated in 1992. For the first three years of Ms. Palmer’s professional career, she practiced medical malpractice litigation, defending physicians and hospitals. Thereafter, she practiced business litigation of all varieties for many years, until she had twins in 1998 when she “practiced” motherhood for a few years. She then returned to litigation, obtained a Certificate from UCLA in Spanish/English legal translation and interpretation, and pursued many personally rewarding volunteer interests, such as becoming a docent and translator at a local museum and interpreting at a domestic violence shelter. Ms. Palmer enjoys many hobbies with her children and husband, a money manager, including fly fishing, hiking, reading, and movies.
