“If there’s a will, there’s a way.” In litigation, Mr. Vickman is commonly described as fearless with skin as thick and hard as armor. On the transactional side, Mr. Vickman rolls up his sleeves and actively engages with all the participants to meet as many of the client’s goals as possible.
Mr. Vickman has lived in other cities and countries around the world. He has experienced first hand peoples’ educational, cultural and ethnic differences and recognizes that when people take positions that appear rigid and unmovable, those are often just initial litigation or bargaining strategies, or as lawyers say in the trade, “posturing.” Mr. Vickman is usually able to cut through those layers of distraction to reach the client’s goals.
Mr. Vickman was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended UCLA and graduated in 1982, cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He then attended USC Law School and graduated in December 1986, being one of two students out of a class of 180 to graduate early. He was admitted to the California bar in June 1987 and has practiced law ever since.
Mr. Vickman enjoys being a lawyer both from a social standpoint and as an advocate. He uses his more than 22 years of legal experience, and other life experiences and achievements, to explain and often persuade others that his clients’ positions are the most meritorious.
Mr. Vickman is married to Safi and they have children ranging in ages from eight to twenty two years old. They are Sabbath observers and Mr. Vickman takes seriously his Talmudic studies. He is also a photographer and hiker, especially in the Eastern Sierra Nevada of California. When Mr. Vickman is not engaged in trial or some other meeting away from the office, Mr. Vickman consistently commutes to his office via road bike, happily bucking the trend of the automobile.
